Dear friends,
In these unprecedented times, we at Mt. Irenaeus remain in solidarity and prayer with all our brothers and sisters across the world. In an abundance of caution, both for our visitors and our friars who live here full time, we are taking the following precautions:
1. We will not be open for guests at this time. This includes those who wish to visit our land, day guests, and overnight guests.
2. We will not have a public celebration of the liturgy.
These measures are now in place and will continue until the global crisis can be re-evaluated to give us reassurance that opening our property and our way of life to the public will be safe for the health of our guests and friars.
Certainly there is much uncertainty and anxiety. The concerns of this time allows the opportunity to hold each person, and all of creation, in prayer for whatever healing and peace we need.
While physically we aren’t opening our doors to guests right now, our way of life is not, and never has been, about our location. It is about making all things new through Christ, a task we can do in our homes. We invite you to take some time to sit, be still, and know that God is with us.
Peace,
The Mountain Community
