Mountain in Your Home Testimonials

When my nephew, John, and his wife, Corin, invited us to their home to share in a Mountain experience with Father Dan, we were intrigued. John had been telling us about the Come to the Mountain retreats for a long time, but we were never able to make one. So when he said that the Mountain was coming to their house, we were excited to go. What we found there was truly remarkable- so many loving, friendly people all looking to share their faith, friendship, prayer and  a meal! There was a beautiful time for reflection, prayer and sharing led by Father Dan. We truly loved it-it was a wonderful evening. What a blessed ministry this is; God’s Hand is surely on it! The Mountain in the Home experience gives me a chance to be still and be reminded. Through both quiet contemplation and inspiring conversation while at a Mountain in the Home, I’m reminded to bring the Mountain way of life into my everyday. For me, that means remembering to take time for quiet contemplation in the midst of a busy day, or reach out to people who I might otherwise have forgotten or neglected, or to simply be present in each moment and remember to see the beauty in everyday life with my family.
