Francis Week Work Day and Open Overnight! Join the Mountain team and community members for a day of service preparing the Mountain for winter – split wood, clear brush, work in the garden, plant bulbs, deep clean the House of Peace; and come together for a hearty, homemade lunch! Head back to campus at the end of the day, or stick around for a peaceful, relaxing open overnight at the Mountain.

If you sign up for a ride: please meet at Cafe La Verna by the fireplace. Rides will leave from the cafe at 9:15a.m. and will return to campus around 4:30p.m.

If you are driving yourself: please arrive at the Mountain a little before 10:00a.m. Directions can be found at www.mountainonline.org/visit-us/maps-directions.  We suggest using these directions and not GPS! 

If you plan to stay overnight: All you will need to bring with you is your personal items for an overnight (change of clothes, pajamas, toiletries, favorite pillow, medications, etc.). We suggest you bring sturdy shoes and warm clothing for outdoor activity and socks or slippers for inside – WNY is starting to get chilly!

We’re looking forward to a great day of work! As this is a service day where we will be working both indoors and outdoors, please wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty or sweaty, as well as appropriate attire for working outside (sturdy shoes or boots, long pants, hat if necessary, etc.).
