Chicago – Reflection and Conversation
January 22, 2023 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
A CHANGE OF PLANS – Join us for Sunday Morning liturgy at 10:30 am – thanks to the Buffalo Bills!
Dear Chicagoland friends –
Our initial plans were an afternoon gathering around the newly published book by Fr. Dan Riley called Franciscan Lectio: Reading the World Through the Living Word.
However the 2 p.m. start was the same as the Buffalo Bills Football playoff game. So thanks to the hospitality of our hosts, we will now have Liturgy at 10:30 a.m., which will flow into a time of reflection and conversation around Fr. Dan’s book.
Come and take the opportunity to congratulate Fr. Dan on his long-awaited debut as a published author!
Franciscan Lectio is for all those who are on a spiritual journey who long to see the world more beautifully and deeply and become more attentive and present. In Franciscan Lectio, Fr. Dan comes alongside us in our own encounters with lectio and inspires our spiritual imagination through story, art, poetry, nature, Franciscan mysticism and Scripture — helping us to see that all of life is unitive and sacred.
Mass, reflection and conversation will take place on Sunday, January 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the home of our hosts:
Rob Buckla and Rob Christopher
2203 Roscoe St. Unit 3
Chicago, IL
After the presentation and reflection, Fr. Dan will have some first-edition books to purchase while supplies last and he is happy to sign your copy if you bring it along!
Please RSVP by January 20 by calling the Mountain office at 716-375-2096 or filling out the form below.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Mike, Br. Kevin, Karen and Fr. Dan
