Please pray for a family in our community, Deanna, Kendall and Parker for their strength and courage as they navigate the next excruciating days as they plan the funeral services for their amazing 25 year old son who lost his battle with cancer today. Please pray that they feel the support and love of our little community.

My dear friend Joe has decided to enter hospice care after 8 years of cancer treatment. He is surrendering to God and has run the race. He’s very tired and can no longer endure the pain and suffering. Please pray for God’s mercy, grace, peace and comfort for Joe, his family and friends.

Please pray that the war in Sudan may end soon, and that those with the power to create peace will choose it. Please pray for those who are internally displaced or refugees, that they may have safe shelter, and that individuals and communities may welcome them. Please pray that those neighboring countries also have relief from conflict and disaster, particularly South Sudan and the multiple years of flooding that they have had. Please pray for those in Sudan who are hungry, ill, injured, grieving, thirsty; please pray that there not be a second genocide in Darfur. Please pray for the Emergency Response Room volunteers there, that they may have rest and safety and strength to continue.

Please pray for all of those who have been killed in the occupied Palestinian territories during this current war, for those orphaned, for those who have lost family and friends. Please pray for those who are injured, ill, hungry, thirsty, crowded, detained, tortured, without shelter; for those whose children and flocks of sheep are harassed in the West Bank; for those who feel constant fear, weariness, pain, and loss. Please pray that peace will come soon, that those with the power to create that peace will choose it over more killing, and that Palestinians will be able to live in their homes, as equal citizens with full rights and freedom, and not be subject to yet more ethnic cleansing.
