A prayer of Thanksgiving for the Chapel we call Holy Peace, for this space and its intentions to exchange ideas, thoughts, burst out loud laugher, to the gift of sitting in quiet peace and contemplation together.

How many times might you have experienced yourself or someone else say, "I didn't know I was going to say that?"

Thanksgiving for the Word that rose up in each of us and shared in simple ways, simple words, throughout 2022, because of this setting, our practice and intentions of planners and conveners.

Where else can we find or recreate such an experience?

For this holy space to continue to serve as a simple, yet foundational model for many here, and elsewhere, for the gift of unexpected "conversatio" wherever you might be now ... with yourself, with God and with others. Amen.

Our beloved son Matthew needs healing from his alcoholism and depression. He is a beautiful man but he is ravaged in body, mind and spirit. Only Jesus can reach him, to heal him from these wretched diseases. We pray for his protection and God’s mercy that he will have shelter, food and loving companionship this Christmas season.

I will be alone for the holiday as I lost both parents. I have no family as I am single. Pray for me that my solitude will not become my prison. That I find comfort in the natural world and the beauty that surrounds me.

We had a scary prenatal appt. and may have conjoined twins. We see a specialist in 2 days. We are praying to a God of miracles, peace, and Immanuel - God With Us - to see us through.
