40 Hours of Giving

We invite you to join our 40 Hours of Giving with a gift to the Mountain Fund Sept. 8-9, 2025.

We will share beautiful messages from wonderful voices spanning generations about the Mountain’s impact on their lives – and how our three peaks guide us: ministry to students, adult faith formation and service to the Franciscan world.

Any amount toward our goal will help us continue achieving those “Mountain Moments” we all know so well – in the Chapel, around the pond, in the kitchen, walking on the land, sharing a meal, or sitting quietly amid God’s creation.

Drawing for Fr. Dan Painting and Matching Gifts
  • As part of our 40 Hours of Giving experience, we will be including a drawing for a Fr. Dan Riley 9″ by 12″ watercolor he left us with. Every individual household that donates to the Mountain today will be placed in a drawing to win. See official rules HERE.

  • We have also had friends step forward to provide incentives to make these 40 hours a successful one for the sustainability of the Mountain.

If you sign-up today for a monthly or annual recurring gift from your bank account or credit card during our 40 Hours of Giving, you will help Mt. Irenaeus become eligible for a special bonus from two long-time Mountain Benefactors!

If the Mountain signs up 10 new donors making a recurring monthly or annual gift, Kate Nolan Clemens ’84 & Dave Clemens will make a one-time gift of $1,000 to Mt. Irenaeus!

If the Mountain signs up 15 new donors making a recurring monthly or annual gift, the Clemens will make a one-time gift of $2,500 to Mt. Irenaeus.

The Roots of 40 Hours of Giving

40 Hours of Giving began in September 2024, a few weeks after Fr. Dan Riley passed away. However, planning began in the spring and Fr. Dan helped sow some of the seeds of the effort with his ideas and energy. We invite you watch previous videos from a wonderful array of voices that tell our story.
