Work Day and Music on the Mountain

October 2, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 8:30 pm

On the Feast of St. Francis Weekend, please join us at the Mountain for a work day to care for the land, buildings and other needs of our community.

“Lord, what would you have me do?” Francis once asked.

For us, we need your hands and help on Saturday, Oct. 2, from about 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. During this time, we’ll work, pray, share a meal and fellowship.  There is plenty of work for all ages and abilities including inside cleaning, preparing the garden beds for the winter, cleaning up deadfall branches, taking care of the trails, and possibly planting bulbs!

Following our time, we invite you to stay with us for Music on the Mountain featuring the Bluegrass group, Fair to Fiddlin’, and then a barbeque supper to wrap up the day about 7:30 p.m.

Can’t make it for the full day?  Come join us for afternoon work or just the music and barbecue!  Music will start after the day’s work, approximately 4:30.  Please bring a lawn chair to help with seating.

If you have questions, please call the Mountain at 585-973-2470 or email Mary at [email protected].

If you are planning to join us, use the sign up sheet below so that we can get a quick headcount for supper.

Note – you are welcome to come and spend the night on Friday, if there is room available, and stay through to Sunday to celebrate Transitus at St. Bonaventure University with the friars and community.  If you are interested or in need of accommodations, please contact Fr. Lou at 585-973-2470.
